Metal Forces Festival was founded in 2001. The festival took place in the premises at SAK Burghof from 2001 - 2005. In the year 2005 Metal Forces moved to the new location Altes Wasserwerk Lörrach.

In 2007 Metal Forces Festival has established with METAL FORCES NIGHTS an additional new festival-range. Metal Forces Nights is special tour-gig night or special theme-night event. Check out this video from the last MF-Nights 2007.

The average audience which was counted since 2001 are between 500 - 600 audience per day - from the age 15 - 45. Nevertheless we do count with even more people from all over Europe the next coming shows.

Beside Hirax from US, The Devil's Blood (one of our favourits ever), mighty Bulldozer from Italy, Primordial, Wolf, Blitzkrieg (UK), Ruffians (US), Necrophagist (GER), Desaster (GER), Metal Inquisitor (GER) and other great international bands (see history line-up) have entered the MFF stage since then.

Metal Forces Festival is an indepedent festival, working on a low-profit level and is especially obliged to not aim any commercial or profit-making goals. Especially for the audiences it is a highlight to get full-loaded live metal music for reasonable prices and great metal atmosphere. It is a "family" like festival which is being held indoors and it is located near the Swiss and French border, easily reachable to the EuroAirport in Basel or international Airport in Zurich.
